COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION AWARDS THE WELLNESS INITIATIVE $40,000
The Colorado Health foundation has awarded The Wellness Initiative a grant for the third year in a row. Funding was awarded to TWI to help support the Colorado Health Foundation's Healthy Living program area. Specifically, the foundation supports programs that, "promote nutrition and exercise and help stem the tide of obesity - and associated chronic diseases - because the number of obese adults in Colorado has more than doubled since 1990 and one in four of our children are either overweight or headed in that direction."
